Washington DC Trip: Day 2

First Full Day in DC!

Doll: I will blog first because I was too tired to do anything last night. Wow! What a day! Big adventure into DC with lots of exciting twists. Citrus will let you know about some of that later.
As for me, I had to go and twist my ankle (the really bad one) on the way back from the train station. Right in front of a nice little restaurant with outside seating. So embarrassing! So I'm icing and elevating. We'll see what happens tomorrow. Supposed to see the mall via bikes all day. Can you pedal with one foot? Everybody seems to be getting alone well. The weather is beautiful (not too hot, lots of breezes) and lots of interesting people to watch. What more could a girl ask for? Lacrosse - we wish you were here! - Doll

Padawan: hello friends, Padawan here again. I....I am a shameful person. I lost my aviators....): I also found out that John Q. Adams is my great. . . grandfather? well i'm not sure but i know that he is my relative. sorry i'm not doing much but we are watching M.I.B  and i am getting distracted. see tou later LUV YA ~<3
LOVE PADAWAN

Cat Nip: Yo, today was okay, I liked the Spy Museum the best. It was a lot of fun. I got a cool gun necklace and it looks like a AK47. I also pretended to grope a statue's boobs. I fed a bird, and eh. It is late and Men in Black is on so...
Meow,
Cat Nip

CITRUS: SIT DOWN KIDDOS ITS STORY TIME!!!! so you all know the story's right? person gets on bus/train thing and looses phone? 9/10 times there is no hope. well i NEVER thought that anything like this would happen to me but i guess i am no longer cursed by only the mystical beings on lets make Taylor's life a series of unfortunate word choices but it appears that their cousins have moved in from lets make Taylor's life a terrible collection of bad luck. THATS RIGHT FOLKS I lEft my phONE ON thE traIn!!!(/- -\) NEEDLESS TO SAY THIS WAS THE MOST TERRIFYING EXPERIANCE IN MY LIFE LIKE OH LORD WOWIE!  i don't really know how it happened i mean at first i guess i was going thorough my bag to look for sunscreen because Scholar wanted some and then the next thing i knew it was time to get off so i rushed off and then like as soon as the door closed on the train i felt it. this terrible realization that i had either fracked up real badly or i was about to be the luckiest person alive and seriously needed to go buy a lotto ticket. either way with the luck i have in life you should probably have figured out that i indeed had messed up big time and this was going to take a lot of work to fix. it took a long time and i set the whole troop back by like two hours but they stood by me the entire time so shout out to all my real fam. also shout out to the person who turned my phone in!!! may the heavens bless you kind soul!!    after this little mis hap though the rest of the day was nice and easy. had lunch in a beautiful courtyard and then headed to the spy museum which was crazy cool! loved it all and all it was a super crazy day and im just happy no one stole my phone haha *sweats nervously* that's all right now really. haha thanks for listening :}

Raccoon Killer:  We made it through another day.  The Spy Museum was a HUGE HIT!  We did the Operation Spy activity and the museum.  The museum went on and on (in a good way).  You would turn a corner and think you where almost to the gift shop.  Instead it was a whole new section.  The 007 section was cool.  We had our lunch in the Courtyard at the Portrait Gallery/Smithsonian American Art Museum.  I bought a 16oz plastic bottle of Diet Coke- for $3.58.  I feel ashamed.  I also said "Hello" to a homeless person on my way to the Metro Station.  He followed me down the escalator asking for money.

Scholar: Today has been fun. We first went to the National Portrait Gallery (after Citrus's whole phone fiasco...she didn't mention this, but someone stole her metro card, so we had to buy a new one. And the entire troop wishes that person will drown in orange juice in a wave of karma. But I digress.), and wandered around there for a while. Some of the sculptures and paintings were pretty cool, my favorite sculpture was this giant throne made of aluminum foil, and my favorite painting was Shimomura Crossing the Delaware. The courtyard where we had lunch there was really beautiful. We went to the spy museum, and did an activity called Operation Spy, which was an interactive tour-thing that was so much fun. The museum itself was incredibly interesting and fun to participate in (since they had activities along the way); pretty much everyone was two exhibits ahead of me, and were getting bored because I tried reading/doing everything. Because I'm a nerd. Anyway. We headed back home (home's definition has changed to mean the hotel we're at), went grocery shopping, had dinner and sat around. After I post this to the blog, I'm putting up a post of all our pictures thus far.

LACROSSE - WISH YOU WERE HERE!
