Washington Trip: Pictures Set 2

Yay, more pictures! They're all jumbled. Still haven't figured out how to rotate stuff. Also, they are not ordered by date. It's all pretty random, I hope the captions help. But anyway. Here are more pictures. Scholar out.

A statue of three women's rights leaders, and a block uncarved for someone yet unknown.

The troop and our awesome guide who took us around the Capitol

Us sitting on a sculpture in the Sculpture Garden (we were allowed to)
Where we had lunch when we visited the Capitol on Wednesday.

Part of the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at the tomb of the Unknown Solider.
The Wreath Giving Ceremony (I think that's what it was called).

The attractive man on the Metro who Catnip (seen in the background) messed with.

Scholar and Citrus in front of the (closed) Library of Congress.

The Washington Monument, at night.
Citrus's waffle

On bikes, about to go to the Mall

In front of Washington Monument on our bike day

The Washington Monument from the Lincoln Memorial

In front of Abraham Lincoln's statue at the memorial.

Us at the Jefferson Memorial

View from our hotel room

Statue corresponds to the one below; this is Diana and her hunting dogs

This is a deer being attacked by Diana's dogs (look at the man's antlers)

They're doing some work on the Capitol building.
Scholar decided she wanted to be Medusa.
One of the many beautiful scenes from our biking day around the Mall.
Statue of Freedom (not Liberty!) at the Capitol
Scholar as Homo heidelbergensis, the direct ancestor of modern humans
Citrus as a Homo floresiensis
Super fluffy expensive llama. It felt like a cloud. (mental image cloud,  not a bunch of water droplets cloud).

Being eaten by a giant, fossilized, ancient fish.
Super cool Egyptian Mummy
