Today we drove the rest of the way home, and contemplated our past week; the good, the bad, and the knowledge gained.
Scholar: As I'm writing this (to be posted later this evening), we are in a car, almost to Georgia again. Last night, I did not die of lung cancer. There was a motorcycle gang with 40+ people at our hotel this morning, which was cool. But this post isn't really about what happened today, but rather about the best (and worst!) things about the past week, and what we've learned (if anything).
I think that my favorite things from the past week were the Spy Museum and the American Indian Museum. Also, the feeling of all our hard work paying off was fantastic.
The worst thing was probably the hurt feet, tiredness (which led to irritable-ness), and all the embarrassment from day 3. Also, rush hour metro was pretty bad. The good thing is it didn't ruin our trip for anyone (at least, I don't think it did...maybe some one else would disagree, but I doubt it.).
I think I learned a lot from this trip (from both experiences and facts at museums), but first and foremost that I didn't know how to ride a bike. Subsequently, I learned how. I also learned that we packed way to much food for this trip, and that Catnip really hates the word piddle .
Anyway. It's been a great trip, and I'm glad that we did this. Goodbye, friends and family and assorted people who have been reading about our trip.
Cat Nip: The trip is finally over! I had fun and all, but I am tired. I can't wait for my introvert time. The best part of the week was the Metroman. Given that that is all I can majorly remember. The worst part was the heat and the sun burn on the back of my hand. I learned that I can actually be not crazy on trips. Well, this is good bye.

Cat Nip
Hello friends. Padawan here ! Last time blogging:( my favorite part(s) were all the new inside jokes and METROMEN! Also I disagree with Scholar the rush hour was the worst! It's no fun getting sucked into the void of people and having to have my sister pull me out is tarifing! The spy museum was most likely my favorite museum! I've had the most fun in a while! Best week ever. Except the sore feet (lol sore feet song ) and the tiredness. It's boring in the car. I regret NOTHING! Maybe poking cat nip in her sleep and her slapping me in the face. . . Nope don't regret that either. 27 minutes till I get to see my animals and my dad! Well LUV YA ~<3
LOVE PADAWAN!
Doll here.
Can't believe the trip is over! What a great experience!
In keeping with the topic for this final blog, I will say that my favorite part of the trip was being with five amazing people. The four hardworking girls always impressed me. And the super-organized leader is, always, a joy to be with.
My favorite sight is a tie between the American Indian Museum and the Capitol. Both were so good in such different ways.
The thing I hated most was feet. Actually, a more precise statement would be that I hated my shoes. They will be destroyed as soon as I visit the restroom.
The last thought I will leave you with is: where to next, girls?
Lacrosse - we really missed you.
Raccoon Killer: I can't wait to take the rest of my family. I had a very good week. We were very busy. There was no time to piddle around and do nothing. I brought several books to read in my spare time and did not even finish the one I started on Day One in the van on the way up. My Favorite Part was the bicycle ride around the monuments. We ended up skipping the World War II Memorial, The Korean Memorial, and the Vietnam Memorial (in day light) when we were bike riding. We should have made sure we did it while we were so close. I am also very thankful we went bike riding when we did. The temperature that day was in the 70's. The last 2 days it was in the 90's. I'm glad we were in museums for the past 2 days. My Main Regret was that we never made it to the White House to see it from the outside. It was part of the original plan when we went biking, but we couldn't make it there. Everybodies feet & endurance were giving out. We even turned in the bikes 2 hours early.
I'm sure at some point during the trip, everyone got annoyed with at least one other person (if not everybody). After all it was 6 ladies together 24/7 for a week. It was bound to happen. However, (except for one blow up) everyone was able to keep it from the the person that was annoying them. Over all I am proud of how the girls acted and gave support to the others as they needed it. They stuck together. That's all you can ask for. Great Trip!!!
